The Ponte Vecchio (Firenze)

The Ponte Vecchio (The old bridge) is one of many bridges over the Arno river in Florence. This beautiful medieval bridge was destroyed and rebuilt many times, but unlike all other bridges in Florence, it was not destroyed during World War II (apparently Hitler was fond of it?!)
The shops built along it were once butchers shops that are now transformed to jewellery, art and souvenir shops.

The Prague Astronomical Clock or Prague Orloj is a medieval astronomical clock located in Prague, the capital of Czech Republic. It is the third-oldest clock of it’s kind in the world, and the only one still working.
Last year (2010), the city of Prague celebrated the Clock’s 600th anniversary.

Barouk Cedars

This is the largest of Lebanon’s nature reserves and it accounts for a quarter of the remaining cedar forests in Lebanon. Some tress are estimated to be 2,000 years old.
Let’s hope this little piece of paradise stays untouched.

Monterosso

This photo was taken in Monterosso, La Spezia north of Italy. Monterosso is one of the five villages in Cinque Terre. The beach in Monterosso is one of the main sights, it runs along most of the coast line.
